My thoughts...

Understanding Material

In February and March I took action with getting more industrial sized paints and using them in my work. The colors I started with were more earth tone colors which is not what I typically use but it was great for testing the paints viscosity.

What I discovered in through four different works is that the latex house paint is not able to peel off the plastic the way my acrylic paints were able to. I also tried using white acrylic paint behind the latex paint to add thickness to the material but this still was not enough to be able to peel the paint off the clear plastic to have it 'free standing'.
