Something New
This week I have been trying a different technique on how to build up my fluid paints to a thickness that will peel of the plastic background. When I thin the paints to make them into the fluid consistency, it is separating the binding content of the paint, which causes it to crack when I peel it off the plastic surface. I am now trying ways of adding clear mediums on top of the paint to strengthen and thicken it. If this too fails I will try to put down a layer of medium first and have the fluid paint dry on top of it. If worse comes to worse I can still save these paintings by carefully cutting them out of the plastic, using the thin plastic surface as the structure behind the paint.
